The title of the tune is an obvious play-on-words, featuring the word 'sawed' as if a past tense of the word 'see' but, in fact, the. Listeners often compare the song to AC/DCs Big Gun or Helstars Burning Star.Bobby Prince used Sequencer Plus Gold to compose this track.
#DOOM 3DO MUSIC WAD MOD#
I made this mod purely because I found it frustrating that nobody made a proper compilation of Doom 3DO and PSX songs, so I made one myself. I Sawed the Demons is a song from Doom composed by Bobby Prince which relies heavily on two electric guitars and drums. There's a similar mod called "3DO/PS Soundtrack Addon" by Blackmore1014 but the track selection is inaccurate and it also includes unofficial remixes and songs from Doom 3 instead of sticking to it's name. Everything else that wasn't nailed down, I replaced individually. They never repeat twice, except for Episode 4 and MAP31/Cast sequence ending music as they use the same lump instead of different ones so I cannot replace that without replacing game code which would be illegal and out of my scope. For example, MAP01 and MAP15 have two different songs, etc. One thing I sought out to do is to make sure none of the songs repeat twice. Doom 1 starts with metal and action, then slowly atmospheric and dark. As for Doom 2, half of the first game is comprised of Doom 64 music while the later half is comprised of Final Doom PS1 music. The rest of the maps are replaced by Doom PS1 music. 3DO tracks replace E1 and the first few maps of E2 and E3, as 3DO Doom does not contain many songs and only Episode 1 is entirely scored. Doom 1 is replaced by 3DO and Doom PS1 tracks, while Doom 2 (and any other wad that uses the Doom 2 map format like Final Doom) uses Final Doom PS1 and Doom 64 tracks.

This is pretty much an alternative for those who are tired of the same old midi tracks and want something different. A compilation of mp3 music from the 3DO, PS1 and N64 versions of Doom.
